Frequently Asked Questions

Commission Artwork

Do you accept commissions?

Yes, I welcome a limited number of commission projects. Commissioning a piece allows you to have a work created specifically for your space while maintaining the spirit and aesthetic of my Silk Botanical series.

What is the commission process?

The commission process is designed to be simple and collaborative:

  1. Initial Inquiry
Share the space you have in mind, preferred size, and any color direction.

  2. Project Alignment
We confirm the size, timeline, materials, and overall direction for the piece.

  3. Commission Agreement & Deposit
A short agreement outlining the scope of work, timeline, and materials will be shared. A deposit is required to begin the piece.

  4. Creation Process
Each artwork is handmade individually in my studio.

  5. Completion & Delivery
Once finished, the piece is carefully packaged and shipped or arranged for delivery.

How long does a commission take?

Commission pieces typically take 2–4 weeks to complete, depending on the size and complexity of the artwork. Larger pieces may require additional time.

Why does the price of each artwork vary?

Each piece is handmade and unique, so pricing varies depending on several factors including size, materials, and the time required to create the artwork. Every commission is carefully crafted, which means no two pieces are exactly the same.

How does size affect the price?

In general, larger artworks require more materials and significantly more time to create, so they are typically priced higher than smaller pieces.

Caring for Your Silk Botanical Artwork

How do I maintain silk botanical artwork?

Silk botanical pieces require very minimal care. Occasionally, you can gently remove dust using a soft, loose brush or a camera lens cleaning air duster. Light dusting will help keep the artwork looking fresh and preserved over time.

Silk botanical artwork is best displayed in indoor environments. To preserve the piece, it’s best to avoid placing it in high-humidity areas such as bathrooms or outdoor spaces.

For high-traffic areas, you may also consider framing the artwork with acrylic or museum glass for additional protection.
